Labradorescence is the shimmering flash of colour that moves across labradorite as you tilt it. It is caused by light reflecting between thin internal layers in the stone, and it is why no two pieces look the same.

Labradorite is traditionally associated with intuition, transformation and protection, and it is often called a stone of magic. It is linked with the third eye and throat chakras.
